Manado ...gem of the North

wir haben sie entdeckt: die wahrscheinlich schoenste stadt INDONESIENS :)
im sauberen stadtzentrum von MANADO befindet sich der lange boulevard voll mit geschaeften, hotels und co. auf der einkaufsstrasse stuertzen wir uns zum ersten mal wieder ins getuemmel der shopping malls und besorgten neue kosmetikartikel (mehr war nicht drin ...unser gepaeck darf die federleichten 7kg hangepaeck ja nicht ueberschreiten).

obwohl uns die stadt super gut gefallen hat, gibt es keine wirklichen sightseeing spots …es dreht sich wie immer (in INDONESIEN!) alles nur ums essen ...makan-makan-makan! felix hatte so seine besonderen wuensche und wollte einige der "delikatessen" von NORD SULAWESI ausprobieren – die details verraten ich euch lieber nicht. ihr koennt bei naeherem interesse gerne bei felix nachbohren :) :)

we found it: probably the most beautiful city in INDONESIA :) 

in the clean centre of MANADO there is a long stretch of road called the boulevard. it’s full of shops, hotels, and co.  for us it was the first time back in busy shopping malls with a ton of people. however, we couldn’t really fall for all the shopping (there is not much space left to squeeze additional stuff inside our 7kg hand luggage), but we bought some cosmetics for the next weeks. 

although we really liked the city there was not much sightseeing that could be done …it’s again (like everywhere in INDONESIA!) all about food …makan-makan-makan! felix had his special wishes and wanted to try some of the "delicacies" from NORTH SULAWESI – i refuse to tell you the details. if you really want to know go and annoy the hell out of felix :) :)
